πͺ‘Quilt Designer & Vintage Sewing Machine enthusiast πMission: to keep sewing machines out of the landfill & used to make quilts
Hey Reader! I am shaking my head at the undertaking I've jumped into with this move for the website. It's been a lot!! I've had to learn a whole new platform but the good news is it is forcing me to fix up and expand guides written years ago. So there may be a few hiccups but if you bear with us while we renovate it will be worth it for all of us!
A pop-up on each page lets you know we are under renovation. The homepage is setup, minus some pictures. It should give you a quicker way to get to the posts you are looking for. The guides aren't done yet but the navigation is good to go!

I want to thank you so much for being here. If it wasn't for you Paul and I would just be talking to each other about old sewing machines. I know this move is frustrating for you as well so I can't say thank you enough for sticking through it with us.

I've even added some videos to some of them, like the Singer Merritt 2404. I wrote a mini-bio of myself so...
Hey Reader I realize it's been a month or two since I've popped into your inbox for some of you. I hadn't realized how long it had been until I got a sweet email asking if I was OK since I hadn't sent an email or posted anything on social media. I've had my nose to the grindstone these last few months so anything that wasn't pre-scheduled didn't get created. What have I been up to you ask? I'm getting ready to move my entire website to a new host. My original plan was to keep going as usual...
Hey Reader I hope 2022 is off to a good start for you! I wanted to get you caught up on what is going on here in The Quilting Room. Just a reminder I don't send emails out unless I have something to new to say. A lot of what has been going on with the blog has been updating old posts to make them better for everyone. I just finished taking a class on how to make Google happy with my posts so they will show them to new people when they search for something I write about. There is a lot going...
